How did you get started in the media?
I used to work as an entertainment coordinator at Sandals and I heard about the opening at IRIE FM. I applied and got through, but I started in the accounts department. It was Big A who first taught me how to play music and brought me on his programme.
What is your dream job?
Radio announcing. I wanted to be a lawyer when I was growing up but radio has the power to change people, even though some don't use it wisely.
What is your best moment working in the media?
When I received a call from a girl who was nine at the time. She said, 'Suzie Q, I love you next to God.' It actually made me cry to see I had that impact.
Have you been faced with negative remarks?
Yes, but the positive outweighs the negative. So when you hear dem wid di negative mi seh just chat to mi back.
If not television, what would you be doing?
Running my own business or doing something to help people. It would probably be law. Not criminal law, but something like immigration law to help people.
What is your favourite show (local or international)?
Law and Order.
Who are your favourite media personalities (local or international)?
Barry G and Dorraine Samuels
What turns you off about people?
People who don't see the glass as half-full. I don't like people who are negative all the time.
If you could meet any one person, who would he/she be?
Sade.
What is one thing that people would be surprised to know about you?
I stutter. It's under control now. It's a mind thing.
