LETTER OF THE DAY - Outrage over police beating of Dr Ford
The Editor, Sir:Another black Jamaican citizen has been beaten, battered and brutalised by black Jamaican police, courtesy of the Jamaican state.

Numbers game: will it be7 or 8?

The Editor, Sir: Prophet Dr. Phillip Phinn has been bold in his pronouncement with regards to his conviction that the Most Honourable Prime Minister, Portia Simpson Miller, being the seventh in the successive line of Prime Ministers for this country, is a divine fulfilment.

A dying legacy

The Editor, Sir: My happy memories of visits to Castleton Gardens as a child remain intact, but only help to make a sad contrast between then and now.On Easter Monday my family and I made a visit to Castleton Gardens.

Bring back Yam Fest

The Editor, Sir: I'm writing on behalf of the people of Albert Town, Trelawny. I don't think it is fair to us that they moved the Yam Festival from Albert Town to Hague. It was such a good thing for us and our surroundings since we are forgotten in our little closet and nobody knows about us.

Discipline, the key to learning

The Editor, Sir: Some students are com-pletely out of control. The recent incidents in some of the schools are a clear indication of a failure in the education system to address indiscipline.
