Arnett Gardens will oppose Waulgrovians 'A' in today's feature game of the Jamaica Netball Association/Berger Paints Super League netball competition at the Leila Robinson Courts, starting at 6:45 p.m.

In the Western Union 'B' League starting at 5:45 p.m., G.C Foster College entertain the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) and Hampshire 'D' oppose Jetsetters 'B'.

Meanwhile, Alpha will take on Hampshire 'A' in the lone Supreme Venture 'A' League match, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Suzette Benbow, coach of Arnett Gardens, said she is very optimistic that her team can beat their opponents.

"I am very confident that we can win the game against them (Waulgrovians)," said Benbow. Once we play our style of netball game, we will surely beat them.

"I know that they have a very strong team. Their defence line is very good, and they are also a very good shooting team," added Benbow, whose team has won its last three matches.

Reasonably confident

Arnett Gardens will be relying on the skills of centre Charleen Brossette, goal attack Kadian Mendez and goal defence Camiesha Brissette.

Like Benbow, her opposite number, Waulgrovians coach Patrick Brissett, has great belief in their ability to win the contest.

"I am reasonably confident," Brissett, Waulgrovians' long-time coach, said.

"We take each game as it comes and hopefully we will be able to overcome Arnett Gardens and win the game."

Continuing his assessment Brissett, who has led Waulgrovians to a host of titles through the years, noted: "However, I know that they have a very tall goal shooter and they are a very quick team that runs a lot."

Meanwhile, the results in matches played in the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) League on Saturday are: Tivoli Compressors defeated Bridgeport Insulators 33-16, Eden Hot Switches whipped Bull Bay Illuminators 30-11, Hagley Pepper Lights stopped Thompson Pen Energisers 32-16, May Pen Stream Generators got by Arnett Transformers 37-22 and Rocky Park Energy Blazers thrashed Rollington Town 48-8.
