The Editor, Sir: The Bible spoke of false prophets and those who would come dressed as wolves in sheep's clothing spreading words claiming to be sent from God. Mr. Phinn's open declaration about Portia Simpson being chosen by God must be seen in a different context...

Lara must go

The Editor, Sir: I hope that the West Indies board will not be seduced or coerced into extending Lara's presence in the West Indies side, in any form of cricket, beyond the end of this World Cup. He must go now. He is a man who quite plainly has no understanding at all...
