False prophets and punishments
published: Thursday | April 19, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

The Bible spoke of false prophets and those who would come dressed as wolves in sheep's clothing spreading words claiming to be sent from God.

Mr. Phinn's open declaration about Portia Simpson being chosen by God must be seen in a different context, besides being seen as another Jim Jones or David Koresh. He might have a point here. He may be right that God has chosen Portia to rule Jamaica for another seven years.

Serious accusations

A wicked government shall rule over a wicked city and the wicked government shall punish its people and starve them and make their children be subjected to prostitution; not until they feel the wrath of this wicked and corrupt government will this once-beautiful nation come to grips with its future.

I am one of those very interested in getting the cell number for God, as I have some serious questions to ask. For example, why has he stopped punishing false prophets with making them blind and cursed with leprosy?

I am, etc.,
