Punish wrongdoers
published: Thursday | April 26, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

I am a Jamaican currently off the island. I read The Gleaner and The Star online. I am in total disbelief when I see what is happening in our schools. If the punishment for the little devils were more severe they wouldn't be doing such disgraceful acts.

They should face the full force of the law, even in prison for a couple days, or sent out in the sun to clean up garbage downtown, make a public apology to their victims, and be suspended from school for a week or two. We cannot continue like this. Wrongdoers should suffer the consequences of their actions.

I am, etc.,
