Peter and Paul Church, St. Andrew.
The company began operations in 1967 as Fontaine Brokers Insurance and Finance Jamaica Limited.
"However, in 1972, Jackie Fraser, Laddie Kong and I saw the need for the opportunity to offer dynamic insurance brokerage services to Jamaicans in an environment where clients would feel comfortable and experience service that was fast, friendly and knowledgeable," Chairman Richard Fontaine said.
He noted that FFK has grown from strength to strength over the past 35 years.
Excited about future plans
"With the boundlessspeed and force of technological advance-ments, we have moved from using telex machines and typewriters and have glided into the era of fax machines, laptop computers and BlackBerry cellphones," said Fontaine.
Fontaine said staff members are excited about the company's future as plans are afoot to expand services to have a more far-reaching effect.
He noted that his company is penetrating markets in the wider Caribbean and its renewed website will be launched in June, where clients will be able to access their accounts online.
"Our slogan for our 35th anniversary is 'Blazing a Trail of Excellence', and I would like to charge not only the staff of FFK, but also everyone gathered here today, to pursue a a path of excellence," he told the congregation.
