The Editor, Sir:
The current crop of politicians that we have vying for parliamentary seats in the next general election somehow could have been better sorted out on both sides of the House.
When will we get to the level of thoroughly sifting those who choose to represent us and making sure that they are fairly intelligent, not financial bankrupts who have been a failure at managing their own personal affairs, not having any past or present illicit connections, relics of the political battlefields of the past, bereft of any new ideas to move us forward on to greater acheivements?
The government of the day has made some strides in the last few years; more could be done and there is a lot left to be desired, but when I examine those who have been in the opposition for the last 18 years, expecting them to have fully thought through what they are going to bring to the table, all I got from the leader right down was pie-in-the sky election promises without any format as to how they will ever become possible,
To top it all, th of Madam Prime Minister to the dubious character Jezebel gives me a sour stomach.
My recommendation to all those who will exercise their franchise is to look carefully at who you want to call 'Honourable' Member of the House of Representatives and if it is a case of swapping black dog for black dog, then choose the better looking of the two.
I am, etc.,
Mikey D.
