Robert Bailey, Freelance Writer Arnett Gardens will try to keep their hopes alive for a spot in this year's quarter-finals of the Jamaica Netball Association (JNA)/Berger Paints Super League, when they face Police 'A' in today's feature game at the Leila Robinson Courts, starting at 6:10 p.m.
Arnett Gardens are tied for fifth place with Tivoli B on nine points, nine behind defending champions Jamalco, who leads the points standings on 16.
"We are expecting nothing but a victory in today's game," said a very confident Audrey Green, assistant coach of Arnett Gardens. "We are going out there to play Arnett Gardens style of netball and once we do that we should be able to win the game. The Police team is a good team, so we won't be taking them lightly ."
Arnett Gardens will be once again rely heavily on its key players in goalkeeper Kadian Mendez, centre Charlene Grossett and wing attack Tracy Ann Brown.
Meanwhile, Police who are on six points, find themselves in a must-win situation to keep alive hopes of making it to the quarter-finals.
In the Supreme Ventures 'C' League starting at 1:35 p.m., Police 'C' entertain Jetsetters 'C', Molynes United 'C' tackle Hagley Park, Ravens tackle Progressive Strikers and Rollington Town face Green-wich Town.
In the Supreme Ventures 'A' League starting at 4:50 p.m., Waulgrovians 'B' await Alpha, while Skibo 'A' face Police 'B'.
In the Western Union B League starting at 2:30 p.m., Skibo 'B' oppose Red Challenge, Ocho Rios tackle Hampshire 'D' and Speg 'B' face Ravens 'B'.
At 3:30 p.m. Waulgrovians 'C' face the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF), the Jamaica Fire Brigade oppose Jetsetters 'B' and Eden Strikers await G.C Foster Strikers.
