Palisadoes Raceway comes alive today
published: Sunday | May 6, 2007

Glenroy Sinclair, Assignment Coordinator

The newly renovated Palisadoes International Raceway is expected to buzz with excitement this afternoon, when the island's top go-karters renew their rivalry in the Jamaica Karting Association (JKA) championship. "Martin Anderson is very fast and he should do well in the Rotax International Class; Colin Daley is expected to dominate the Mini Max Class and Mark Eaton in the Kiddies Class," said JKA's executive Neil Williams. He also expects another good performance from Peter Moodie Jr. in the Shifter Class. Moodie had an excellent meet two weeks ago. Phillip Myers is favoured to take the checkered flag in the Rotax Junior Class.

JMMC Bakery/Xsomo Tarmac Rally

The MoBay team of Doug Gore/Mark Nelson, Dave Lee/Colin Chambers and Dean Corrodus/Gina Tomlinson, dominated last Sunday's event, which was held in Southfield, St. Elizabeth.

Gore and Nelson finished in first place, while Lee/Chambers and Corrodus/Tomlinson finished in second and third place, respectively.

The highest-placed two-wheel drive team was that of Dean 'Duct Tape' Corrodus and Gina Tomlinson in the Mountain Dew/Partfinder Auto Parts Honda Civic Type R.
