A trial date has not yet been set in the case of former church deacon, 46-year-old Donovan Jones and the three male teenagers charged with trafficking in persons involving a 14-year-old girl. They appeared in the Home Circuit Court Friday, and the case has been set for mention on June 29.
The allegations are that, in April and May last year, the four sexually molested a 14-year-old schoolgirl and video recorded the incidents.
The four accused are on bail and Justice Raymouth King extended their bail.
Wrongly listed
Attorney-at-law Paul Beswick, who is representing Jones, com-plained about the late start. He said he and the other lawyers in the case were at court from 10:00 a.m. and, because the case was wrongly listed in another court, they had to wait until almost 1:00 p.m. to have the case mentioned.
He said they were treated with disrespect and he was annoyed and outraged because the case was mentioned so late.
