A real page-turner

1. First it was the former high-living banker whose fall led to him authoring a book. And when that did not get him the attention he thought he deserved, or the exemption he is so desperately seeking, he is now promising to do a 'tell-all' about the roots and personalities behind the financial sector meltdown. On the heels of that thinly veiled threat, here comes news about another book, this one penned by the former advertising executive, a real page-turner.

What's happening here?

2.Why this person is no longer serving in the capacity, but he and his wife are still seen motoring around the city, with the insignia still attached to their motor vehicles?

Bad-mouthing not stopping her

3.While her peers and detractors are busy bad-mouthing this fast rising business star, she is equally busy taking the horizontal initiative to secure the further expansion of her growing business concerns.

Gays out west

4.The homophobic backlash that has been sweeping the west in recent times seems to have more to do with the business practices of gays in that city rather than their sexual disposition. As the story is, it is the gay network out west, with the complicity of some police personnel, who are the real brains and power behind the much publicised lottery scam; and with some very big players being targeted and losing millions of dollars, one speculator declared open season on gays, with at least two of them being directly implicated being shot - execution style - to send a message. When that did not act as the intended deterrent, two were publicly chastised and beaten while some others were threatened with similar justice, if lost money was not recouped.

Big guns are out!

5.The will is to be challenged in the courts as there are questions arising as to its authenticity, and the relatives not happy at being disinherited have called in the Legal Big Guns, and the first salvos are now being fired. The contention is that the signature is being called into question. And there are stories of there being evidence of 'white-out' being used. And to further add to the unfolding drama, paintings that were thought missing are now flooding the market place.

New husband in castle

6.He went into hiding after the Americans published a list with his name on it accusing him of international shenanigans. Now, the once-faithful wife, who liked living high off the proceeds, got her decree nisi and is now living abroad, in the style to which he made her accustomed, as the new husband is a titled sire, with a castle to call home.

Is it a happy marriage?

7.When the wife was told of the husband's love nest in the gated New Kingston apartment complex that housed the husband's Spanish-speaking damsel, she stopped speaking to the bearer of the news, accusing her of trying to "mash-up her happy marriage". Since then, however, her SUV has been seen in the neighbourhood.

Trying for a comeback

8.Miss Piggy is trying for a media and social comeback, but for all her protestations and talk about good, clean living, her public utterances and behaviour still smack of her old self!

Locks have been changed!

9.The one with the platform shoes has changed the locks to the penthouse occupied by the mistress. It seems the mistress, like a number of others before her, has found her dream man, who has promised marriage and a whole new life.

Cheers for a new-found status!

10. They say there are no official records here to debunk his antecedents and a new-found status due to the fact that a whole new identify has been bought. Some say this was achieved through a computer hacker who was paid a hefty sum for the task of deleting records, and some others are saying it's a case of effective plastic surgery. Whatever the reasons, due diligence has turned up nothing incriminating.
