Antigua camp set to open
published: Friday | May 25, 2007

ST. JOHN'S, Antigua (CMC):

ANTIGUA AND Barbuda's Olympic Association (ABOA) will open its elite athlete camp today to help prepare competitors for this year's Pan American Games in Brazil and next summer's Olympics in China.

The camp, sponsored by the Pan American Sports Organisation (PASO), "will also cater to other athletes/associations preparing for national, regional and international events," the ABOA said in a statement. It is situated at Caribbean Centre for Sports Education & Training (CCSET) International Academy at Longfords, located about three miles outside St John's in an upscale community.

Antigua & Barbuda will be sending athletes to the Pan Am Games in Rio from July 13-21 and the Beijing Olympics from August 8-24, 2008.
