In defence of law-abiding Chinese wholesalers
The Editor, Sir:I am writing in response to your article in The Sunday Gleaner (May 20th) 'No better no deh'.
Politicians taking us for a ride
The Editor, Sir:I am deeply disgruntled with the way in which some of our politicians take us Jamaicans for idiots.
Tasteless TVJ programming
The Editor, Sir:I am absolutely disgusted with Television Jamaica's (TVJ) abysmal programming standards in recent times. Viewers continue to be bombarded by expletive-riddled movies on what is supposed to be a network station.
'Experts' ought to know better
THE EDITOR, Sir:I HAVE read the gushing reports in your newspaper regarding the sloppy West Indies performance in the recently concluded first Test.
Is Lloyd pursuing his own agenda?
THE EDITOR, Sir:I NOTE with concern the recent comments attributed to Clive Lloyd, the former Test captain of the West Indies team, about his desire and pursuit of Duncan Fletcher to be the next cricket coach of the West Indies team.
In search of disciplined men
THE EDITOR, Sir:IF THE recent comments attributed to Chris Gayle of the West lndies cricket team are correct, then he ought to reconsider his position. I can think of no profession or occupation where if you do not impose self-discipline - the over indulgence will impact on your performance
Off-the-field activities hurting Windies
THE EDITOR, Sir:THE PROBLEM with West Indies cricket is that we are yet to recognise and appreciate the importance of aspects off the field
