Names missing from EOJ list
published: Saturday | June 23, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

It is apparent that many people will be in for a rude awakening on election day as many people's names are being left off the voters' list.

I have had my elector's record reverified and have searched repeatedly on the EOJ electronic voters' list to no avail. I have not been able to find my name.

Other persons have been told that their names are on the list but the ID card cannot be retrieved until 2008.

By then it will be too late for those persons to vote. Is this the underthrow that will allow a certain element to win the elections.

Errol Miller needs to address the issue immediately. We won't call an election on an old list, we will simply eliminate some names. This is the lowest of the lowest form of corruption.

All Jamaicans must check now before we are stuck with a Nicodemus move.

I am, etc.,
