Sports club plans 'Summer Rally'
published: Monday | June 25, 2007

The Post & Telecommunications Sports Club executive 2007: (from left, back row) Damion Miller vice-president; Horace Mighty, treasurer; Rosemarie Heslop, secretary; Andrine Gordon, deputy public relations officer; Yvonne Sutherland, deputy treasurer; Christopher Bernard, sports coordinator. (Front row): Dawn Virgo, deputy secretary; Rohan Gunter, president; Delmont Grant, deputy sports coordinator; Clinton Scarlett, public relations officer.

Competition, and above all else, togetherness, food and fun! That's the plan for the Post and Telecommunications Staff Sports Club's 'Summer Rally' being planned for the months of July and August 2007 at the postal service headquarters, the Central Sorting Office (CSO).

It is set to be launched with an opening ceremony on Friday, July 6, and promises to be a real treat for postal staff and members of the surrounding communities. The activities will last until August 24, and culminates with an awards ceremony to be held at CSO on Friday, August 31.

This year, the range of competitions has been expanded to include football, netball, basketball, table tennis, domino and cheerleading. This event is open to all postal workers and, as such, interested staff may contact Sports Club executive members at the Central Sorting Office, Christopher Bernard, sports coordinator, or Delmont Grant, deputy sports coordinator.

Come on postal service teams: get involved, register now! Let's make this year's competition the best ever.
