THREE JAMAICANS, Neville 'Teddy' McCook, Grace Jackson and Alfred Francis, will vie for posts when the world's governing body of track and field, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), holds its congress in Osaka in August.
McCook, who is currently IAAF area representative for the North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) region, is going for an individual-member spot at the August 22-23 congress.
A former president of the Jamaica Amateur Athletics Association (JAAA), McCook will face off with 25 nominees, including Keith Joseph of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
McCook and Joseph are also set to battle for the post of presidency of NACAC this summer.
Jackson, an Olympic 200m silver medallist, is aiming for a place on the women's committee. She is among 25 women chasing eight available seats.
Francis, an experienced track-and-field official, will be seeking one of eight seats on the IAAF Cross Country Committee. He is among 25 nominees seeking a post.
Meanwhile, the delegates at the 46th IAAF Congress - at which all 212 member federations of the IAAF are entitled to be represented - will cast their votes in the elections to decide the composition of IAAF Council and various committees.
Significantly, there is only one candidate for the position of president - incumbent Lamine Diack of Senegal.
That is also the case for the role of honorary treasurer for which Frenchman Jean Poczobut is the only candidate.
