Former '90210' heart-throb heats up the night on new series

For all you Beverly Hills, 90210 fans who are going through some serious withdrawal now that Dancing with the Stars is over and you can no longer watch Ian Ziering quick-step his way to the finals, never fear. Now you can get your 90210 fix watching another alumnus, Jason Priestley, later this month. Priestley co-stars in Lifetime Television's new show called Side Order of Life. In this new comedic drama, he plays Ian, a hotshot businessman with more style than substance. He is the fiancé of Jenny McIntyre, played by Boston Legal's Marisa Coughlan. This quirky new show comes from the producers of American Beauty, Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen, and is created by Margaret Nagle, of HBO's Warm Springs. The show premieres Sunday, July 15, at 8 a.m.

Attention all Susan Lucci fans: In case you missed it the first time around, on Tuesday, July 17, the daytime diva will be appearing on the Rachael Ray show (check your local listings for station and air times). The folks at Rachael Ray conducted a national search for the 'Worst PJ's in America' and asked Lucci to be their makeover expert. Hundreds of women sent in videos of themselves pleading for help.

Three women with the absolute worst sleepwear were selected - none has ever owned lingerie in their lives. One woman who will be profiled on the show wears an adult onesie to sleep, another wears a mismatched top with teddy bears and elephant capri bottoms, while another hasn't purchased new pj's in 10 years. These women think they are coming to the show to talk about their awful pj's with their husbands there to chime in. As a surprise, Lucci will give these women a sleepwear makeover. Who better to give tips than the woman who has spent many years on TV in skimpy nightwear?

In casting news, actor/musician Alan Thicke will be returning to The Bold and the Beautiful as talk-show host Rich Ginger when Stephanie and Phoebe Forrester (Susan Flannery and MacKenzie Mauzy) appear on his show to promote Forrester Originals' latest product. And you can bet that Ginger will throw in a surprise of his own for the ladies. The episode will air on August 6.

Also returning to daytime is Zach Roerig, who portrayed Casey Hughes on As the World Turns up until May of this year. Roerig began appearing last week on One Life to Live as Hunter, a man who has some important information for Blair.

Adrienne Leon (ex-Colleen Carlton, The Young and the Restless) has spoken up since her firing last month, which was a surprise move that ended up barring the actress from taking part in Daytime Emmy festivities. She wrote a message to her fans on her personal blog: "I was notified today that I will no longer be part of the cast of Y&R and that (Friday, June 15) was actually my last day there. I wish I would have known that then, and had taken the opportunity to let everyone know just how much I enjoyed working with them in addition to how greatly they will be missed." Tammin Sursok has been recast in the role of Colleen. Her first scenes will air July 30.
