Thank you, Madam PM
published: Saturday | June 30, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

Please see below an open letter to the Prime Minister.

Dear Prime Minister,

I visited the Percy Junor Hospital in North East Manchester on June 25, and walked the various wards and departments at the institution. It was then that I really recognised the tremendous impact that the recent 'No fee for children under 18 policy' has had on the lives of the people of North East Manchester and surrounding constituencies.

On visiting the out-patients department, I saw 82 persons waiting to see the doctor; 68 of them were children. It is with much pride that I therefore, use this medium to say, 'thank you', on behalf of all the children of North East Manchester and other areas, Madam Prime Minister, for this policy change.

For those who criticise you for making such a positive change in policy, I encourage them to visit the nearest hospital and see the constructive impact this change is having on the lives of our countrymen.

I am, etc.,

PAUL A LYN

PNP Candidate

NE Manchester
