Jamaica's mother-to-child HIV transmission rate is now approximately 10 per cent. This represents a significant drop from the rate in 2004, which was above 25 per cent.

Northern Caribbean University receives accreditation for doctoral programme

Northern Caribbean University (NCU) received a big boost with news the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ) has accredited its Ph.D. degree in education. The news came last week, as the university prepares the third batch of candidates for graduation from its first doctoral programme, which was introduced seven years ago.
