From a small house party in Beverly Hills to the mammoth super all-inclusive experience held on Saturday, July 7, at Fort Charles in Port Royal, Osmosis has grown in offerings and in following over the four years it has been entertaining the Jamaican young suburban populace.

Touted by many as the ultimate all-inclusive event, Mad Circle Entertainment's Osmosis kicked off the summer in fine style under the theme 'The Best of SVB'. Only if you've been living under a rock somewhere would you be unaware that SVB is the acronym for Super all-inclusive, Vibes and Beautiful People, which characterises the Mad Circle experience.

As expected, the event receives a 'triple A-plus' for delivering on its promise of SVB. With some 10 restaurants represented at Osmosis, the patrons enjoyed choice cuisine prepared by some of Jamaica's noted eateries, including Osmosis 'veterans' Rib Kage, Cuddy'z, Gourmet to Go, and Prendy's on the Beach. Monster's Pork Pit, Habibi Latino, Chilito's, Pizza Pazza, Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant and Tessa's also attached their names to the Osmosis brand and served up fuel-for-partying befitting only the most beautiful people of Jamaica.

Five bars strategically placed across the venue ensured that patrons had easy access to their Smirnoff mixes and other drinks. The good vibes was built around the artful 'selecting' of Renaissance, Coppershot, Bambino, and ZJ Liquid Entertainment. And this would all mean nothing if the hundreds hadn't come out to enjoy it.

Unintelligible ramblings

Notwithstanding the unintelligible ramblings of some mic-happy promoter later into the event, which briefly interrupted the flow of music, the good vibes never halted, and the fabulous people danced and dished until the wee hours of the morning.

Mad Circle has really set the bar high for other Jamaican promoters, having spoilt their patrons with the best of SVB. After that display, who could expect anything less from an event?

Next up on the Mad Circle roster is Hotel Exclusive, a joint effort with High Society Promotions when they, along with 400 specially invited guests, will take over Grand Lido Negril for the weekend of August 4 to 6, to enjoy the mother of all all-inclusive events. Are you confirmed?

Among the 'beautiful people' were: Robert Collins of the Village Café; Absolute Entertainment's Chris Telfer and Camille Kidd; delectable man candy/singer Cezar hanging with his equally appealing wingman Jair Lyons; Kayon Wallace and Garry Lobban; the full complement of the Red Summer Promotional Team, including Rashidi Thomas, reminding all to live red this summer; Nicole McLean, Rochelle Crawford and Kelly Fletcher, all in Jamaica on summer break from their undergraduate studies in North American universities.
