THE EDITOR, Sir:
Daily I hear Jamaicans voicing their disgust at all things political, and declaring that they are not voting because of how fed up they are.
In their own way, these Jamaicans are sending a message to our politicians, and I sympathise with them, but is this action really good for Jamaica? If we are so sick and tired of this government, why do we have to paint all politicians, including the opposition party, with the same brush?
No reason to be fed up with JLP
Another question I have is, how can you be fed up with JLP politicians when you have not seen their government in action for more than 18 years? I am a young person who has known only a PNP government and what I know has filled me with a firm resolve that they cannot be my government for the next five years.
To my uncommitted, non-voting friends, I say, don't throw away your constitutional right to have a say in the running of this country. At the end of the election you have won nothing, proven nothing, and done your country a disservice. To say all politicians are alike is untrue. Please be wise. God bless our land.
I am, etc.,
Very Committed
