
Amateur golfers are being urged to submit their forms this week, to participate in the Shipping Industry Benefit Golf Tournament, scheduled to take place at the Caymanas Golf and Country Club on Sunday, July 29.
Fabulous trophies and numerous attractive prizes are being offered to the top performers at this year's renewal. The event begins with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. and golfers are to be on their tees at 7:50 a.m. to ensure that play will be completed by noon.
The beneficiary of this year's tournament will again be the Marcus Garvey Basic School, located in Greenwich Town. The tournament will be played as an 18-hole Stableford 7/8 Handicap event in five categories - overall, ladies, male handicap 0-7, male handicap 8-15, and male handicap 16-24.
Participants can look forward to great tee gifts as well as trophies and attractive prizes for 'Nearest to the Pin' and men's/ladies' 'Longest Drive'. There is an entry fee of $3,500 which includes lunch that will be accompanied by superb wines courtesy of Lascelles Wines and Spirits.
