Seaga's legacy
published: Thursday | August 9, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

I wish to publicly congratulate my sister-in-law Carla Seaga for her contribution in The Sunday Gleaner of August 5, 2007, titled 'Whose side is Seaga on?' She clearly answered those who, knowingly or unknowingly, are contributing to what appears to be an organised campaign to, once again, destroy Mr. Seaga's legacy of selfless, visionary leadership and dedication to his country and the democratic system, which he undoubtedly, working against great odds, has sacrificed much to preserve.

His entire family, including now deceased parents, other siblings and immediate family, can bear witnesss to the above.

I call upon well-thinking Jamaicans to show the respect and gratitude to this remarkable patriot and note that, to date, he has not yetbeen accorded any meaningful national mark of respect, which is now overdue.

I am, etc.,

JEAN B. SEAGA- ANDERSON (Mrs.) J.P.
