Why women will work wonders
published: Friday | August 10, 2007

The Editor, Sir,

As women, we all know that we the women have been governing our households as far back as we can remember. We are our own ministers of finance, education, planning, transport, health and everything else.

The majority of us have literally worked magic in order that the $3,000 or $40,000 per week are able to do everything in the household and trus' mi a little 'partner' a thro outa it to.

How many times have we asked our men just to buy two pounds of pumpkin for the Saturday soup and they instead bring a whole pumpkin and waste the money?

Men in their arrogance do not know how to manage the pursestring and have too many irons in the fire.

Governing Jamaica is the bigger picture and with sound advice and planning, etc, we the women can work wonders.

I am, etc.
