The Caribbean Maritime Institute, in collaboration with the Montego Bay Community College, has been offering the diploma in international shipping and logistics (DISL) programme and the associate degree programme in industrial systems, operations and maintenance (ADISOM) since 2004.

High-school graduates with a minimum of five CXC subjects can enrol in the DISL or ADISOM programmes, which are currently being offered at the Montego Bay Community College. Also, graduates from the DISL or ADISOM prgrammes can matriculate into one of five B.Sc. degree programmes listed below that will be offered at the Montego Bay Community College in January 2008:

management

Cruise shipping and

tourism management

Port management

International shipping

Industrial systems,

operations and maintenance

The University Council of Jamaica recognises Caribbean Maritime Institute and Montego Bay Community College programmes and CMI and MBCC students are eligible for the Students' Loan Bureau programme.
