Cop, aunt get bail extension
published: Thursday | August 16, 2007

Corporal Randolph Mullings, the member of the Prime Minister's security detail who has been implicated in a car theft ring, and his aunt Judith Fuller are scheduled to return to court on September 19, after they had their bail extended when they appeared in court yesterday.

This was despite objections from the prosecution. Mullings was also ordered to obey curfews and stop orders which were conditions of his bail the last time he appeared in court.

Two other persons implicated in the case, however, were not granted bail. They are Robert Lewis and Lloyd Bannister. All four are charged with conspiracy and receiving stolen property.

Adrian Clarke, the driver of the vehicle from whom the car was stolen, is still missing.

Allegations are that the vehicle, a Toyota Corolla motor car, was stolen around June 28, when the driver left Yallahs in St. Thomas, en route to Harbour View, St. Andrew.

Meanwhile, a press briefing at which the details of the case were to be outlined today has been called off.
