Ludlow Watts ... Jamaica's manager in Osaka.
Jamaica's manager to the 11th IAAF World Championships, Ludlow Watts, believes the stage is set for his team, to do very well.
While unwilling to make any medal predictions Watts said: "I think we are going to do very well," while basing his assessment on the preparations leading up to Saturday's start of the nine-day championships.
The Jamaica team is in Tottori, Japan, taking part in a nine-day training camp, and according to Watts, this will prove to be beneficial to the team.
"I believe coming here a week in advance has put us in a position where we have got really acclimatised and we should do well," he said.
Watts also praised the training facilities. According to the manager, who is also treasurer of the Jamaica Amateur Athletics Association (JAAA), the stadium they are using is of a very high standard. He also said they have access to a first-class gym.
And according to Watts, the Japanese support staff has been very helpful.
"The people are very polite and helpful, they are always on time," he added.
Watts said there have been no reports of injuries.
"Nobody has reported any injury or problem, so I believe all is in place for us to do well, and we are going to do well," he concluded.
The team will leave for the Athletes' Village on Thursday.
