LUDLOW BERNARD, coach of Harbour View's Under-17 team, said he is confident of his side's chances of winning this year's KSAFA/Victoria Mutual/Dickie Coke competition following an 11-0 thrashing of Rockfort on Tuesday at the Mountain View Oval.
"I definitely feel that we can win this competition and I have no doubt about it," said Bernard. "We had a little mishap the other day and the players were kind of hurt from it, so I know that they are focused now to go all the way in this competition."
Clearly the better team
"I think this game is a true reflection of the attacking nature of our team. We are gifted with some very skillful players and I think that they are really getting themselves together as a team now.
"If you notice it is not one person that is scoring the goals for us but a combination of the midfield players and our forwards so it was a good all-round effort from them today," he further said.
Meanwhile Lance Craig, coach of Rockfort said: "Harbour were clearly the better team today. My team is not as prepared as most of my players are Under-15s, so we are still building and hoping that we can get stronger for the future.
"We don't have the resources to maintain a team like Harbour View so we have to do the best we can from a community standpoint," he said.
Harbour View's victory was set up by former national Under-17 representative McKauly Tulloch who scored a four-timer.
Tulloch struck in the 34th, 45th, 57th and 61st minutes. He received good support from Andray Beckford, who scored two goals (45th and 62nd). The other goalscorers were Adrian Christian (13th), Marlon Abrahams (39th), Paul Cunningham (64th), Orville Anderson (79th) and Andrew Hudson (80th).
