Bodies recovered from collapsed apartment
published: Friday | August 31, 2007

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC):

After four days of digging under treacherous circumstances, two of the five bodies of the family crushed when their apartment block collapsed in the wee hours of Sunday morning have been recovered.

The bodies of a female adult and a male child were found late Wednesday night about 60 feet below the surface, exactly where a cadaver sniffer dog brought in from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue team earlier this week had indicated.

Home Affairs Minister Dale Marshall said the bodies would undergo forensic tests to determine the exact identities.
