The Wayne DaCosta-trained two-year-old colt, MR. SKILL (Dane Nelson) romps the third race for the Keeling Memorial Cup over 1100 metres, in the smart time of 1:05.2, at Caymanas Park on Wednesday. - Colin Hamilton/Freelance Photographer

Big bucks are in store at Caymanas Park tomorrow for any punter good enough to win the mushrooming Pick-9. The carryover stands at a whopping $7.6 million.

The Pick-9 embraces races two to 10 while the Super-6 covers races five to 10. Wednesday's Super-6 was caught by one lucky punter, who walked away $925,314.50 richer.

We look at the Super-6 which gets under way with a three-year-old restricted allowance race (non-winners of two) to be contested by six starters over 1600 metres.

Nicely weighted

Despite the small field, there is enough good form present to ensure a competitive race, even though the one to beat appears to be SIR KANJABJHARI who looks nicely weighted with 52.0kg, thanks to apprentice Oral Bennett's 3.0kg claming allowance.

Although the front-running MR. BUTLER, LADY RAKWALAAY and RUSH TO VICTORY have been running fairly well, the Howard Jaghai-trained SIR KUNJABIHARI has been keeping better company and last time out was 4 1/2 lengths fifth (as the favourite) to PORT ROYALTY over 1400 metres on August 6.

The son of Sir Lal Bahadur-Lady Nanda has worked fairly well and should prove too strong for MR. BUTLER and LADY RAKWALAAY in the last furlong.

Next is a three-year-old maiden condition race over 1200 metres to be contested by the maximum 16 starters. Indications are that this will resolve itself into a straight fight between the top horse JJ'S RED ROCKET, who has been knocking at the door, and the bottom horse GREAT SENSATION who chased home RIGGED TO WIN over 1300 metres on July 25 and being lightly raced, has much scope for improvement.

Still, preference is for the Wayne DaCosta-trained JJ'S RED ROCKET who was beaten into second place by PERFECT STEP over 1100 metres in fast time (1:07.2) on August 18 and has looked sharp at exercise since.

Biggest danger

Having finished second to MOON DANCER over 1500 metres on August 18, DESIRES OF THE SEA looks best of a moderate lot in the seventh race over 1600 metres. His biggest danger in the six-horse field must be SOFTLY MY DEAR who he had behind in fourth on August 18.

Briefly, down-in-class TOCUMEN, who is more than comfortable on a $170,000 claiming tag, gets the nod over the recent winner KING AL, speedy ROBIN'S BAY and PRIOR PARK in the eighth race over the round five course, while BLACK RIVER, a winner last time out, is preferred to HARMONICS and WIND JAMMER in the ninth race out of the straight,

Then, take the very fit JACK BE GOOD, who finished a close third to NASATOL over over 1200 metres in open-allowance company on August 11, to win the closing overnight-allowance race (10th and final) at the expense of PASSA PASSA and OH NO GRANDPA.
