LETTER OF THE DAY: Responsible leadership needed at this time
The Editor, Sir: The general election is now over and while the results are considered preliminary at this time, we must all agree that the people of Jamaica have spoken. They have spoken in a manner not heard of since the first election under universal adult suffrage in 1944.

The Editor, Sir: I was extremely appalled when just minutes after the preliminary count was announced, I saw Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller running out, 'full speed ahead', to give a speech. Instead of accepting the defeat with dignity, she went out there and attacked ...

The change has come!

The Editor, Sir: I wish to congratulate the people of Jamaica for finally making the right choice and voting for the good of the country rather than for their party. It is my opinion that the country can only move forward with this change of government....

A 'profit' indeed!

The Editor, Sir: This sounds to me that this man is a 'profit' Indeed. Note not prophet but 'profit'. He has everything to gain prophesying just what the people want to hear. It's a shame that he makes other Christians look so bad in the process. If he is a church leader ...
