The Jamaica Diaspora in the United Kingdom yesterday congratulated the Bruce Golding-led Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) on its victory in Monday's general elections.

The UK Diaspora movement said it was pleased that, in his first speech after the results, Mr. Golding emphasised the need for cooperation with the people of Jamaica and that he would seek to establish inclusiveness between the Government and the Opposition.

"The Jamaica Diaspora U.K. offers its full cooperation to the new Government and looks forward to continuing our work with the Government to build on the progress achieved so far to forge a strong and effective partnership between Jamaicans overseas and Jamaicans at home," the Diaspora group said.
