Maverley challenge Harbour View
published: Wednesday | September 5, 2007

DEFENDING CHAMPIONS Harbour View, unbeaten so far this season, are expected to encounter a spirited challenge when they face Maverley/Hughenden in the Sherwin Williams Women's Premier League at the Harbour View Stadium today at 3:30.

With Sunday's League fixture being put off on the eve of the election, the women will be hoping it's business as usual.

While putting up a fairly solid showing in the knockout format of the competition, Maverley will be looking to regain confidence after going down 3-1 to Portmore Strikers in their last league fixture. Maverley netted first but seemed to fall apart after two quick Portmore goals.

Harbour View have been fairly comfortable this season, their only significant challenge coming against Barbican this week.

In the day's other games, promoted Meadhaven will continue to look for their first win of the season when they take on Portmore Strikers at Duhaney Park.

At Constant Spring, Waterhouse will tackle a struggling Olympic Gardens.

In today's A League games, St. Catherine Upliftment will host Arnett Gardens at the McGrath High School while the other scheduled game between Seaview Gardens and Reno has been put off until further notice.
