LETTER OF THE DAY: Advice to Bruce - from an apostle
published: Saturday | September 8, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

Below is a copy of the email I have just sent to The Honourable Bruce Golding. I am sending it to you and I hope that I can finally find favour to get it published! Peace and blessings!

Hello Sir:

We thank God for allowing you to get victory so that change will take place in the nation!

The following are instructions from the Lord for guidance for your first 100 days in office.

Biblically, the number 100 means 'fullness, recompense, full reward'. Don't make the same mistake the former Prime Minister did.

1. Always seek the Lord God first before you make any decision (Matthew 6:33). Remember that you first will get the conviction in your heart - those who may advise should only bring confirmation to you.

2. Always keep this scripture - II Chronicles 15:1-2 - as a warning and a guideline.

Fasting

3. Call the nation into fasting according to Joel 2, and get both sides asking the Lord for forgiveness for the past sins both political parties have done that are still affecting the country. By doing this, it will stop you from inheriting the curse of the former administration. Ask politicians on both sides to give a sin (seed) offering unto the Lord.

4. Call a tithe amnesty - encourage all the people of the nation to bring in all the tithes so that the blessing will return to the nation (II Chronicles 31/ Malachi 3: 8-10).

5. The Government must pay tithes from the taxes collected so that the blessing and favour of God will be upon the nation.

6. Do not select anyone to a ministerial position if his or her life is not in line with biblical principles. They must not be in any cult, adultery or any other sinful lifestyle - it will bring a curse on your adminis-tration. The position of Ministry of Finance, that person must be holy! Pray deeply before you assign anyone to that office! (Look at I Chronicles 26: 20-32) It must be so because this position is the position of a gatekeeper.

7. Call a national audit to examine all the deals and the contracts.

8. Ensure that you start to clean up the justice system.

9. Appoint judges and magistrates that are God-fearing.

10. Seek God's anointed servant with the governmental anointing for solutions - those that walk in the Joseph and the Daniel anointing.

11. Ensure that all your leaders pay tithes.

12. Remove the images at Emancipation Park and in Harbour View that it will break the spirit of sexual perversion from the children.

Religious advisers

13. Encourage financial institutions to give loans to farmers and small businesses at low interest rates without collateral so that small businesses and entrepreneurs can rise up.

14. Be careful of your religious advisers who have personal motives.

15. You need to call back some retired, police, teachers, and other civil servants who still have a lot to contribute, especially to the communities and the youth.

16. Ensure that you have 60 prayer warriors/intercessors and praise and worship personnel assigned directly to Jamaica House - where their jobs are just to pray continually and play music. MUSIC THAT WORSHIPS GOD ONLY - right throughout the day, so that the Spirit of the Lord will come upon Jamaica House (I Chronicles 25).

17. Give concession to non-profit organisations to carry things in duty-free to assist in the area of education and to help the poor.

Again, don't make the same mistakes the former Prime Minister did! The prophetic word always comes with condition. The only prophetic word that cannot change is that found in the Bible itself - all others are given by the Lord on condition that if you will ... then He will!

Remember that only biblical principles will turn the nation! Intellect will not turn Jamaica.

There are many persons in Jamaica - Christian young persons - with simple solutions to turn this nation around, but we need to listen to what the Spirit of the Lord is saying!

I am, etc.,

Yours in Christ

STEVE LYSTON

(Apostle)
