Demetri Chambers, reaping the fruits of his labour
published: Wednesday | September 12, 2007

Demetri Chambers loves computers and anything associated with technology. So, it came as no surprise that he pulled off a distinction in this year's Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Information Technology exam.

The 17-year-old past student of Muschette Comprehensive High School in Wakefield, Trelawny, passed eight subjects in all, and now plans to enrol at Montego Bay Community College.

"I was really happy with the results. It shows that hard work does pay off," he said.

Demetri got six grade-two passes and is proud that all his study efforts weren't wasted.

"I put a lot of hours into it, soI'm happy to now reap the rewards," he laughed.

He desires a career in the field of information technology and plans to do all he can to achieve this.

"Whatever it takes, because I really enjoy it and I know I would be good at it," he said.
