Daviot Kelly But some of this info is more important than you think, like these:
Musical preferences
Imagine you're at a restaurant and he/she asks the piano player in the corner if he can play a Mavado? Probably should have gone somewhere else then, huh?
Ability to cook
If, when asked, the bachelor/ette responds, "you mean bully beef and rice?", steer clear of them if you feel your better half should know the kitchen.
What type of car do you drive?
Ladies, if you feel you should be in the passenger side of a '06 Accord, don't respond to the guy who drives a '98 deportee just because he's cute. Save both of you some time and effort.
Favourite vacation spot
If the answer is (no disrespect) Hellshire, that could mean that the person is really patriotic, despite travelling all over the world (which is good), or they don't have the resources to travel at all (not good).
Ok, so that's for those pieces of information that we've seen but never paid attention to.
Now here are some questions I would like to see in these profiles (for both men and women, where they apply):
How many times do you go to the hairdresser?
That one needs to be answered because, let's face it gentlemen, that means you will be paying for those trips if you too get serious. This even applies for women looking for a guy. If he's going to the hairdresser and not the barber, you need to know.
How long do you talk per cellphone call?
Again, this goes to money, and who will be buying the credit?
Did you attend an all-boys/all-girls high school?
Trust me ladies/gents, it's best you know this before you go out and they run into old classmates. It happens with all alumni but especially those who went to same-sex institutions. Once they start reminiscing about high school days, that leaves you sitting at the bar, bored to death.
Trust me, if we added these questions, you'll get the full story. Later.
Flair's bachelor issue last week got me thinking (and you know that's not a good thing): who's leading in the ladies' polls? All that stuff doesn't bother me in the least; but while looking at the answers from the gents, I wondered if you ever read those personal ads from bachelors and bachelorettes? Makes for eye-opening stuff sometimes, doesn't it? Their photos are also quite the 'glamour shot' (most of the time). Call Cupid and make your reservations for love.
