JAMAICA'S REGGAE Girls got their Olympic qualification bid off to a winning start in round one of the Caribbean qualifiers when they turned back Bermuda 4-0 at the Antigua Recreation Ground yesterday.

Barbican striker Kenesha Reid got a brace, opening in the scoring in the 12th minute before netting again in the 21st.

Jodi-Ann McGregor put the team two goals up with a 15th-minute strike before Tashana Vincent closed out the scoring with her second-half goal in the 52nd minute. The Girls will go for their second win when it faces hosts Antigua at the same venue in a 2:45 p.m. fixture tomorrow.

Jamaica will then close out Group C with a game against the Dominican Republic on Sunday. The Caribbean qualifiers will see 15 regional teams in four first-round groups.

Antigua, the Cayman Islands, the Dominican Republic and Suriname host the first-round groups.

The group winners will advance to the second round. The winners and runners-up from the round robin stages progress to the CONCACAF final round tournament.
