God has spoken
published: Friday | October 5, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

Mrs. Portia Simpson Miller has no one to blame but herself for losing the election. She kept on procrastinating and treating the emotions of the Jamaican people like a cat playing with a mouse it is about to kill. This should teach all our politicians to stop taking us for granted.

There was so much talk about faith in God and God being the leader in this election. I believe God has spoken and we should all accept what he has done. There is a saying 'No one can do more than their time'.

As a proud Jamaican all I want to see all our politicians working for the good of Jamaica if they really love Jamaica. Let us face reality, no politician is doing us a favour when they do their job well; that is what they are being paid to do like all other government workers.

I am calling on all of us as Jamaican people to stop behaving as if we are the servants and let our politicians know that they are our servants. I wish this new government all that is good as it takes us to new success and development.

I am, etc.,

CARMEN CLARKE

Darliston P.O.

Westmoreland
