published: Friday | October 5, 2007

J. Wray and Nephew always do things out of the ordinary, and so throwing a birthday party for a brand of whiskey is not unusual.

The Tennessee favourite Jack Daniel's was first brewed in the 1800s and is still going strong. The 'birthday party' was held at the ever popular TGIFridays on Hope Road last Thursday.

Art Balek was never far away from the Jack Daniel's (see drink in hand), even as he chats with co-worker Lucy Mackey. - Winston Sill/Freelance Photographer

Out to wish Jack 'happy birthday' included Maxine Hogarth-Spence, O'Brien Kennedy, Andrew Bailey, Victor Forrest, Pat Dougall, Levi Bloomfield, Larry Watson, Hugh Anderson, Peter Green, David Magnus, James Wood, Sharon Murray, Vijay Matthews, David Hobson, David Walton, Stephen Dawkins, Andrea Chung and Chesna Haber.
