The Editor, Sir: The headlines in The Gleaner of Wednesday, October 10, simply said, 'Fire for bullets, Gunmen hunt children with firebombs'. The story by Glenroy Sinclair on page A3 read 'Gunmen are anxious to kill another child, in reprisal for one of two children who were killed....

What purpose, these curfews?

The Editor, Sir: We all need to be working together so I am not trying to blame anyone. But let's get serious. How could there be a curfew in an area and gunmen were still able to firebomb a house? And not only that, they returned to finish the evil deed.

The solution to our crime problem
