What purpose, these curfews?
published: Thursday | October 11, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

We all need to be working together so I am not trying to blame anyone. But let's get serious. How could there be a curfew in an area and gunmen were still able to firebomb a house?

And not only that, they returned to finish the evil deed. If it's a curfew in such a volatile area as this, every nook and cranny of the area (meaning every street, lane, corner) must have a squad or a set of soldiers assigned to it. This is of national importance.

The people doing these wicked and atrocious acts are few; let's outsmart them and save the lives of our innocent citizens! These are not even adults being targeted, but babies. Enough is enough!

I am, etc.,
