published: Sunday | October 21, 2007

Mr. Bertram Milwood (centre) seems elated with his citation from his family; the presentation is made by daughter Sharon Milwood-Moore and son Capt. Francis Milwood.

Last Monday saw several celebrations for Jamaicans who had received national honours and awards earlier that day at the National Indoor Sports Centre. (Much nicer and cooler venue.) These will continue for a few weeks hence. Here are some highlights.Family and friends of Bertram Milwood fêted him at the Blue Room of Mona Visitor's Lodge.

There were tributes from close friends and family, entertainment from Claude Edwards, a dance from Tivoli Dance Troupe and a surprise skit from his daughter, Pauline
