Reno, Boys' Town end in 0-0 stalemate
published: Friday | October 26, 2007

REFEREE KEVIN Morrison's final whistle provided relief for fans, players and especially the coaches of Reno and Boys' Town following a frustrating 0-0 draw in yesterday's Cash Plus Premier League fixture at STETHS.

Perhaps it was the the unusual fixture on a Thursday afternoon, or the fact that the previous day's Ben Francis KO game between Manchester and Munro at the same venue had sapped all the energy and interest following its pulsating end with sudden-death penalties.

But there was little to cheer on an afternoon that had lovely sunshine and a lush outfield. Reno had the better of the first-half chances and the early action may have fooled their fans that their season's first victory was on the cards.
