The following are feedback letters to our very popular Thursday feature 'Roving with Lalah'.
Love it!
Dear Robert,
Your roving stories are extremely entertaining. The picture you paint places me right in the midst of the people, especially the 'Linstead Market' and 'Pops and Terry on Skyline Drive' ones. I printed the market one for my granddaughter to read and enjoy from afar Jamaica's nice-and-easy, no-problem humour. Love it!

All smilesDear Robert,
It is as if I have known you for years based on the narratives you have so generously endowed us with over the years. My favourite was the taxi journey you recently took. I simply had to share that little piece of home with all who desired to have a taste of the island.
Even people who aren't Jamaicans enjoyed it. Your latest article, 'Pops and Terry on Skyline Drive' was lovely and had me smiling from ear to ear, especially when Pops hinted about having his 'one whites'.
I'm always disappointed when your article is not in The Gleaner.

'Cracking up'Dear Robert,
I enjoy your columns so much and look forward to reading them on Thursdays in The Gleaner online. I reside in Queens, New York, and whenever I read your column I feel like I'm home.
I excitedly told my cousin about it, only to find out you were a long time favourite of hers also!
I was 'cracking up' and laughing so hard over your story a few weeks ago when you went to Salt River in Clarendon, in th of the Summer school vacation, and watched some young guys fishing.
It brought back so many memories, as I grew up in Lionel Town and remember when my dad used to take us there.
Thanks for the memories and keep up the good work. You're an amazing writer.
Thanks!
Dear Robert,
You always leave me feeling warm and nostalgic after I read your writing. I 'know' all your characters. Thanks!

Amazing!Dear Robert,
While reading your features, I feel as if I've been transported to Jamaica.
I can hear the people's voices, picture the scenery and I laugh to myself. It's just hilarious how you incorporate your candid conversations with those you encounter into your stories.
I live and work in Virginia, near to Washington, D.C., and I feel like I just took an afternoon drive up to Skyline Drive!
The way you conveyed Pops' hinting for a drink was amazing! Can we say 'Roving with Lalah' the book or how about tours with Lalah ... ah ha!
Thanks for the great stories

Tears of joyDear Robert,
I live in the United States and I read The Gleaner everyday on the Internet. They make me laugh every time until I cry, because it takes me back to the good old days.
I like all of your narratives; I also send them to other Jamaican friends so that they can get a laugh too.
Keep it up.

Keep walkingDear Robert,
Thanks for all the great stories. This one really takes me back to Jamaica and my time as a young man meeting a girl and taking her up to Skyline Drive.
It's great to read your stories here in Kennesaw, Georgia. You bring a smile to my face each time I read your stories. Please do not stop your walks.
