Missing child found murdered
published: Tuesday | November 6, 2007

GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC):

A Nine-year-old girl Sade Stoby who went missing here on Friday was Sunday found brutally murdered not far from her North Barnwell, Mocha East Bank Demerara home. There were indications she was sexually molested.

The gruesome discovery of the battered and bruised body ended a frantic search for the child who never arrived home after leaving the Mocha Primary School on Friday afternoon.

When Caribbean Media Corporation visited the area Sunday the child's body had just been removed and residents were overheard discussing her killing, while her mother was being comforted by relatives. On Saturday the family had contacted a local newspaper over the missing girl.
