Jordan Samuda's wedding - Contributed photos
Ahh, what a lovely couple! Jordan Samuda and his bride, Christina.
Jordan Samuda and Christina Cornilliac tied the knot last Saturday night, much to the delight of the goom's father, Industry and Commerce Minister Karl Samuda, and his wife Pauline, and the bride's parents, Peter and Janet Cornilliac.
After the church ceremony in nearby St. Ann, guests gathered and mingled while they waited for the newly-weds to make their entrance.
The setting matched the occasion - romance was clearly in the air with tents dotting the beautifully manicured lawns of this historic Jamaican property, Laughing Waters, viewed and lit by lanterns in the trees - no pepper lights here!
Master of ceremonies was life-long friend Adam Stewart, who kept the guests entertained. Blessings were given by none other than Monsignor Richard Albert, followed by a slew of speeches and well wishes.
The food was a culinary feast represented with the crème de la crème from every corner of the world. However, the show-stopper was the Jamaica roast suckling pig that had the ladies dashing for seconds and thirds!
More impressive was the tent that held the delectable sweets.
Steady flow of liquor

Minister of National Security Derrick Smith and his wife, Carlene.
Yes, we had rain, but no one cared! It just enhanced the romance; couples cuddled and made the most of the proximity under the tents. As it drizzled, guests ate and drank in the steady flow of liquor, helping the crowd dance the night away into oblivion.
Among them were: Prime Minister Bruce Golding and wife Lorna; the Stewart family, including 'Butch'. From California, Glen Nicholson and his wife; Dr. Horace Chang and his wife Pauline; Morris Oeverteuil and his wife; David Bernard and his wife; Dennis Rostant and his wife; Don and Ayesha Creary; James and Charlene Robertson; Shahine Robinson; Douglas Vaz; Daryl and his wife Ann Marie; Rosanne and Gassan Azan; Dr. Ken Baugh and his wife Vilma; Mr. and Mrs. Mark McConnell; Mr and Mrs. Bobby Miler; and Tom and Rose Tavares-Finson, and many more.
