Welcome to Jamrock returns this December for its third consecutive year. Slated to be held on Friday December 21, fans can expect the same quality of reggae excellence that has made Jamrock a hit.

Known for its tight time schedule and a slew of big and inspiring up-and-coming artistes, Welcome to Jamrock has pre-viously received rave reviews. This year the concert returns to the stage of the Constant Spring Football Club for the second time. According to Cindy Breakespeare, executive producer for the show, the football club is the ideal 'oasis' to have the show.

Although Damian 'Jr Gong' Marley did not release an album this year, he is still the main act performer for the show though other Marleys will make an appearance.

"Steve (Stephen Marley) will be a special guest, we are also going to have a group in Roots Underground and the response to them has been positive. We will also be having Etana and I personally can't wait to see her. She has real talent and she always sings with passion and conviction," Breakespeare said.

Patrons can also expect special surprise guests that Damian Marley usually brings on during his performance.

One new addition to the show this year is a yet to be named overseas-based act. This will be the first time an overseas-based act will grace the Jamrock stage.

This year patrons will also be able to purchase tickets for Welcome to Jamrock online at a special site. "Each year we try to bring it up a notch. The idea was to have a concert where persons experienced a different kind of thing. We are known for starting on time, tight production, good entertainment all the way through. Its a short line up which kicks up from the first note plays," Breakspeare said.
