Plans all set for Falmouth redevelopment
Work on the redevelopment of the port in Falmouth will get under way next February, in time for the arrival of the new mega cruise liner, Freedom of the Seas, which is due to call in 2009.

C&W to shut down stolen phones today

Making good on its promise to take decisive action to reduce mobile phone theft, Cable & Wireless Jamaica (C&WJ) will, as of today, shut down any handset operating on its GSM network which is reported stolen or lost.

Mind & Spirit - A place of honour

Tomorrow is a big day in the life of The Apostolic Ark Pentecostal Church of Jamaica as that denomination will, at 3:00 p.m., consecrate Bishop Geoffrey Wellington Johnson to the office of apostle. The consecration service is scheduled to take place at the Brown's Town congregation of the church group located on Huntley Avenue.

Alleged cop killer shot dead

A suspect in the killing of Const. Valentino Chambers was shot dead yesterday on Luke Lane in downtown Kingston. Dead is Fredrick Johnson, also called 'Murphy', 19, of a Hannah Town address.

Two on multiple murder charges remanded

Two men charged in separate incidents with the murder of several family members, including young children, appeared in the Home Circuit Court yesterday.They were remanded to return to court on January 11.
