Shakti cycling finale
published: Saturday | December 1, 2007

Jamaica is slated to witness another first in the world of fitness tomorrow when the Shakti Mind Body Fitness Centre hosts a three-hour indoor cycling marathon from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The event marks the grand of finale its 'Fitness Month' activities held this November.

Shakti participants and guests will put their physical and mental endurance to the test when they take part in the marathon, led by Shakti's top instructors, Michael Fisher, Nadine Prendergast, Rose Tavares-Finson and Sandy Lee.

The first hour of the marathon will kick off with upbeat music to get participants warmed up and ready to have fun. For the remaining two hours participants will be artfully shifted into mind-body connection that will allow persons to recoup and refocus.

All participants are asked to bring along a wrapped Christmas gift to Shakti this weekend for children in the Grants Pen community.

Shakti is the founder of the Shakti/WWD charity organisation based at AmChan Place that promotes fitness, nutrition and stress management for women and children in the Grants Pen area.
